"I have always had a passion for food;
I love to work with it, cook it and eat it."
HI, I'M JAYNE!
I’m born and bred in Yorkshire, but moved to New Zealand in 2011, I met a Kiwi and the rest, as they say, is history. I’m now a mum to my two gorgeous munchkins. I started my journey to train as a dietitian in the year 2000. I studied at The University of Huddersfield, completing a degree in Food, Nutrition and Health. Then I pursued my passion of food and helping people and completed my masters in Dietetics at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh and qualified as a dietitian in 2006.
I love to help people achieve their health potential through food. I genuinely get the biggest heartfelt happiness when someone achieves their dietary goals. I know myself how important it is for my own well being to achieve goals, so I love to know I’ve been part of helping someone to achieve theirs.
I have always had a passion for food, I love to work with it, cook it and eat it. Having two children, one that eats everything and one that is very fussy with food, I feel privileged to start at the grass roots with these guys, trying to help them develop their healthy habits from a young age.
I understand that creating a healthy lifestyle never goes in a straight line too, there’s times that everything seems impossible and other days when it feels easier, it’s just important to learn to ride the waves. Creating recipes, keeping them simple, affordable and tasting delicious for my family is one of my passions. I love to plan our meals out to help us stick to a budget, plus it makes life a bit easier knowing what we’re having for our meals, especially as we’re both working parents. Having these skills means I can help you on your journey to a healthier lifestyle too.
I’m still as passionate about food and supporting people today as I was when I started my training, but I have decided to go in a different direction and focus on supporting people as a nutritionist. My eldest has just started school, so I needed to change the way I worked; with more flexible working hours, so I could be there for school drop off and pick up. That's why I created Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner…Sorted!
